I decided to leap into the uncharted (for me) territory of establishing a blog website as a pivot from starting a service business for Aging in Place technology products to be able to help more people and because of foreseen service business challenges. It has taken longer than originally anticipated but is being rolled out as of September 2018. When there are enough subscribers (free) I will add features to create a community via a forum portion and by allowing comments on postings. Years from now, when I'm too old to keep up with technology changes, I want to be able to rely on what this site develops into. I want many contributors for extending and updating content and offering their expertise. My activities related to this over the past couple of years has resulted in relationships with some startups and I hope this will continue to grow.

Joined this at its formation. I was a member of the strategy and resident technology subcommittees. I acted as an interface with outside technology companies. The charter of this has changed and a new group, a technology-oriented club, was created. I am a Board member. It is named the Better Living Club (BLC) and I was instrumental in its formation. I volunteered at other Villages groups until October 2016.

Had the great opportunity to act as an archivist as a museum volunteer, and am honored to be included in the large plaque hanging in the museum, recognizing volunteer contributions. As an information junkie, I got to view lots of interesting material being cataloged. It is possible that I will volunteer again in the future at this fantastic place.

With two others, took over management of this commercial real estate company. The company was originally an investment in partnership with the community's developer. Attempting to salvage the investment after the developer's failure, the original manger converted it into a business. The other managers were focused on financial and property management. My focus was interfaces with the investors, the HOA and co-owners of some of the properties.

A great community abandoned by the evil Citigroup - I was working to finish our dream. The second big developer, Homex, also failed, but, hope sprang eternal as none other than Carlos Slim has arrived on the scene. Another disappointment. Since my departure, the turmoil has tapered down and the community is now (a/o 7/17) running smoothly.
