Orr Partners is a leading provider of Project Development Management, Project Planning, Program Management, Design and Construction Management services. Barry accepted the offer to relocate to Savannah where he assumed the responsibility of managing the larger and more complicated development and construction projects of Orr Partners’ most important and longest relationship client, Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. Barry completed the design and construction of a 180,000 s.f. MRO facility that includes over 100,000 s.f. of aircraft hangar space at Palm Beach International Airport. He developed the cost analysis and managed the design, site and building permit approval process and general contractor selection for a 112,000 s.f. aircraft manufacturing addition to an existing assembly plant. Barry assumed the lead role in future development and construction projects for Gulfstream's manufacturing, warehouse, storage and service center projects nationally and internationally.

Barry provided development and construction management services to several clients in the Washington D.C. market. Through relationships from years of working in the DMV and a track record of delivering quality development projects he was able to help bring to closure a variety of projects starting at various stages of development. His understanding of the entitlement and preconstruction process adds exceptional value during the front end analysis, while his experience in managing the design and construction phases through lease up and stabilization completes the entire development cycle.

Accepting the position of Vice President of Business Development for Project Solutions Group (PSG) allowed Barry to continue his desire to drive corporate growth and increase revenue in a company positioned to expand in the project, construction and relocation management services industry. PSG is a well-established firm and under new leadership and guidance. With a new corporate culture, restructured senior level management and revitalized branding PSG is looking forward to creating a fresh image in the construction management industry.

Barry accepted the opportunity to participate in a family owned business involving the launching of a technology start-up company. Applying his experience and leadership skills gained as a real estate developer, responsibilities as COO included leading all business functionality initiatives that assured company goals and objectives were met across all business lines and operational groups. Gravy Analytics continues to be a successful company with a great future but Barry decided to return to the real estate development and construction industry.

The Long Companies was a privately held development company with a history of producing large scale office parks, mixed use and multifamily communities, medical offices and retail centers. The responsibilities as VP included assisting the President and COO with initial project feasibility analysis, creating the project development proforma and managing the development process from entitlement requirements, design and permitting through construction completion and tenant improvements to stabilization.

AOL was a premier web portal and online service provider. Growing to the largest technology company in their space required significant infrastructure support from strategically located advanced office buildings to state of the art data centers. AOL had a global presence with call centers located in many countries. Developing and constructing these facilities created special challenges from power and water supplies to understanding building requirements in various national and international locations. As Senior Project Manager in the Project Management division of America Online, Barry was responsible for all aspects of development and construction.

HDR Project Development Services (PDS) was a firm specializing in complete owner representation throughout all phases of project development. From strategic property evaluation and purchase through development and construction, HDR PDS managed this process for our clients. As Senior Project & Client Relations Manager, responsibilities also included management of development and construction team personnel, performance and compensation reviews, divisional strategic planning and the implementation of employee educational and internship programs. His major client during this time was Orbital Sciences where he managed the development and construction of three corporate headquarters office buildings, renovated their previous headquarters building, added a significant addition to their existing satellite manufacturing facility and constructed a satellite tracking facility.
