As a manufacturing engineer, I work closely with Subcontractors (including our own production facilities) and our departments of Engineering, Procurement and Sales.Responsibilities and achievements:* Support Subcontractors in case of questions or issues, in order to ensure that purchase orders are delivered according the requirements with on-time delivery.* Review Client specifications in order to make project based Technical Purchase Requirements. I have improved these documents to a much higher level in recent years.* Prepare purchase orders to ensure parts are made according Client specifications and in the most efficient and economic way.* Work preparation for welding, assembly and commissioning. I have set up a document control system, to make sure all relevant documentation is supplied with the work package and can be easily stored.* Due to ever increasing Client demands, new welding consumables were required. Subsequently, I have requalified the entire welding shop. New WPQR's, WPQ's and WPS's.* Improve new and existing designs in ways of manufacturability, quality, costs and weight reductions.
