Mission: ZotBins is an independent group of undergraduate researchers, called the ZerO Waste Anteaters (ZOWA), who are passionate about technology-based zero waste management. ZotBins is a smart waste bin system that collects data to help make waste management more efficient and to promote zero waste.Role Description: - Collaborated with Hardware Team to design, CAD, and assemble the physical Smart Bins. - Implemented ESP32-CAM microcontrollers, ultrasonic sensors, load-cell sensors, and break-beam sensors to design robust, cost-efficient prototypes capable of collecting waste weight, bin fullness, and other useful metrics. - Common tasks include circuit and PCB design, power draw analytics, and manufacturing bin prototypes.

Mission: IEEE Student Branch @ UCI offers workshops, company information sessions, tech talks and other opportunities to assist in the professional development of students in and around UCI. In addition to education, IEEE@UCI also participates in the national AAMC (Micromouse Competition), in which teams are tasked with designing, programming, and assembling an autonomous robot capable of navigating a maze in the fastest time possible.Role Description: - Spearheaded the design and programming of a robotic mouse capable of autonomously navigating a maze in the national All America Micromouse Competition hosted by IEEE- Responsible for working with team of three in programming pathfinding algorithms (A* and Floodfill), designing PCB, and soldering + debugging all components for testing
