Bart is a creative professor who leads a research group on breakthrough tech innovation in Amsterdam (NL). His research and expertise are new technology's social, societal, industrial, and economic applications. To this end, he combines deep insight into technological innovation and knowledge about the possibilities for use by people, organizations, and society. Central to his approach is the possibility of new technology to break through and scale up to growing application areas. In his career, he published numerous scientific and professional books and articles and guided and counseled thousands of students, professionals, and government officials in breakthrough tech innovation. He built and implemented two B.Sc.- and two M.Sc. educational programs, presented two series of TV programs on national television, was an advisor to the Dutch government, currently is an advisor of the United Nations, and is always open to joining breakthrough tech innovation initiatives that make a difference.
