Following the enactment of the Criminal Finances Act I have represented respondents to UWOs/AFOs. I have been successful in obtaining privacy orders to prevent damage to clients/their businesses from adverse publicity. I have specialist knowledge of financial products, banking/loan disputes and debt recovery.2021 - Represented 2 respondents to civil AFOs and achieved a favourable settlement in relation to c.£15m in assets.2020 - Represented several clients in applications for injunctions. The JR and IPT claims were seminal judgments. I also advised throughout the year on several company law matters for a group structure.2014 - Represented clients in two major High Court cases involving claims for unlawful means conspiracy and unjust enrichment and advised on a judicial review claim as well as civil contempt applications.2013-2014 - Represented 3 Defendants in a High Court trial relating to a USD$213 million ‘civil fraud’, one of the largest commercial court cases heard in 2013/2014 attracting international media interest, involving technical aspects of banking practice relating to Warrants, GMRA contracts and spot forward contracts, issues of private international law, foreign law, privilege and public policy.
