Over the last 30 years he has operated in many different sectors of the UK and European grocery trade, including frozen, chilled and ambient sectors, both food and non food. During his career he has had wide exposure to the news media and is experienced at managing both positive and negative coverage, ensuring the stories are well managed and the business reputation remains intact.He bought a 60 hectare mixed arable and livestock farm in 2001 and after leaving Bernard Matthews at the end of 2007 spent time developing the farm to make it more viable, focusing on sustainability and local added value. In 2010 he bought the local food shop and used it to sell eggs and meat and other produce of the farm.
