Scheduling (development) training, providing up-to-date documentation, facilitating code reviews and knowledge sharing.One of the ways I put this into practice is to keep doing analysis, design and development work as a part of those business units. This not only keeps me up to date and gives me a chance to work with these people directly, but also because I like programming, doing technical designs and functional analysis.Helping out on the start-up of our new business unit in Mexico and help build the further growth of our business units in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Australia and Japan. Miles is an ERP package created specifically for the automotive finance, leasing and fleet management market.From 2010 until 2014 I was involved in the replacement of our standalone desktop application to a rich internet application. As a company this was one of our biggest challenges in most recent years, as we needed to migrate over 600 “screens”. This project was proving to be both technically… Show more As analyst/developer I have been working on our flagship software product called ‘Miles’. Miles is an ERP package created specifically for the automotive finance, leasing and fleet management market.From 2010 until 2014 I was involved in the replacement of our standalone desktop application to a rich internet application. As a company this was one of our biggest challenges in most recent years, as we needed to migrate over 600 “screens”. This project was proving to be both technically and functionally challenging but also very rewarding as the result of our hard labour is quite impressive and the new rich internet application is received very enthusiastically.My other day to day activities consist of analyzing functional requirements and turning them into technical designs, for either me or another developer to implement. Thanks to the versatility of this job, I have had the opportunity to gather a lot of experience in the different aspects of software development and design.Additionally, I also give technical and functional support to our business consultants and customers, both foreign and domestic.
