At the department of structural dynamics the dynamic behaviour and failure of a broad range of structures is investigated. My main work consists of performing simulations to assess the safety of structures, ships and vehicles subjected to extreme loads. This often includes evaluating experimental and simulated data. Additional activities include recruitment, supervising students and representing TNO at various events.

Wrote my master thesis on the analytical and experimental analysis of the forced bending of steel wire rope. Final grade: 8.5

A project with six master students for the municipality of Durban, South-Africa, where a solution and a design was made for the chronic beach erosion at Umhlanga Rocks.

A study of alternatives and structural design of the Romertower on the Maasboulevard in Venlo. Completed in collaboration with ARCADIS. Awarded with prize for best graduation project 2012 civil engineering from Zuyd Hogeschool. Final grade: 8
