Development of labs and rigs within E-mobility

As product owner responsible for the backlog and the deliveries of two agile teams. Team1 supports the daily running of the battery lab. Team2 supports the daily running of the electric motor lab, the transmission lab and the power electronics lab. The support includes investments in new test equipment and test cells, adaptations to new test objects, test automation support, method development and other investigations. Both teams were newly formed after a reorganization in December 2022 and at that time the team spirit was rather low. Together with the team leader and the scrum master we managed to transform the teams, which now are proud, delivering according to plan and much happier.Also developed and introduced a new more structured way of working with investment projects by use of VIRA (Volvo Jira). Supported in all kinds of questions regarding investments, strategies and way of working.

Initiated an investment in one more brake dyno to bring the total to 4. Also represented the lab in the investment investigation project and the realization phase of the project including specification work, procurement FAT and SAT and with that finalize the complete overhaul of the brake lab. Lab responsible in project group for realization of the tire test dyno performing SAT.Continued with the SAE taskforce for development of standardized brake NVH test methods.Led several small project teams for method development tasks and investigations on for instance new legal requirements. Followed and gave input to the work of the UNECE taskforce on a test method for measurement of brake particles.As an investment coordinator represented the lab at the investment board and the investment steering committee. Supported and represented the lab with several investment investigations. Mapped coordinated the total investment need in the department of Propulsion and climate testing. Created an investment strategy for the lab.

Lab responsible in project group for realization of the new brake dyno performing FAT and SAT. Initiated investment in two more brake dynos and represented lab in the investment investigation project. Lab responsible in project group for realization of the two new brake dynos incl. procurement and performing FAT and SAT. Initiated investment in tire testing dyno and represented lab in the investment investigation project and the procurement phase. Lab responsible in project group for realization of the tire testing dyno incl. procurement and FAT.Lab responsible in project group for specification work, procurement, FAT and SAT for a new evaporative emission chamber. Supported brake lab, tire lab, chassis dyno lab and evaporative emission lab with test automation system support, rig adaptations, maintenance projects and method development. Joined a SAE taskforce for development of standardized brake NVH test methods. Followed and gave input to the work of the UNECE taskforce on a test method for measurement of brake particles.

Performed brake NVH tests both in complete vehicle and in brake dyno. Method development. Initiated investment in new brake dyno. Was lab representative in the investment investigation group. Led a taskforce team of 9 colleagues to solve brake noise on the XC90 and V90.

Continued with CAE work for brake performance in BrakeDim for the SPA platform. Developed a new enhanced simulation environment in Matlab/Simulink.Did brake pedal tuning work in first brake-by-wire Volvo V60 hybrid on test track.

Worked as a consultant hired by Volvo Cars. Did CAE work for chassis clearance in Adams chassis and CAE work in BrakeDim for brake performance calculations.

Worked as a consultant hired by Volvo Cars. Performed brake performance tests in complete vehicle on test tracks around Europe. Performed system and component tests in brake lab at Volvo cars. Did brake function development in complete vehicle on test tracks in Europe.

Performed Ride tests in complete vehicle on test tracks and on shake rig with LMS system.Performed handling tests in complete vehicle on test tracks with steering robot and VMD Comtest data acquisition system.Performed subjective ride and handling tests.Test method development.
