De IVMK bestaat uit zeven politiezones en achttien gemeenten binnen die zones. Ze bundelen de krachten om milieuhandhaving op een uniforme en effi ciënte manier te kunnen aanpakken. Het uitgangspunt van de IVMK is een taakverdeling waarbij de ervaring en expertise van de verschillendeactoren ten volle wordt benut.
