Qatar-Finland International School is a school with over 110 employees and 750+ primary, middle and high school students. I run the IT department and take care of all IT needs, from solving day-to-day computer problems, the Internet, mobile and fixed telecommunications, the wired and wireless network, servers, laptops, desktops, laser, and 3d-printers. We are a Microsoft School, and I am responsible for account management (Microsoft 365 and all other educational and administrative applications) and helped implement and take care of Ed-admin, our school-wide administration system, with modules in academic management, admissions, finance, HR and activity management. Other responsibilities include security, updating the school website, handling warranty and insurance cases, writing documentation and user guides and taking care of the equipment in the classrooms. I am also responsible for purchasing new hardware and software, training staff and students in the use of our hard and software, and supporting staff, students, and parents.
