After a career in music and theatre management and programming, Bart Van Langendonck started producing documentaries and feature films, first for the film production company CCCP (2002-2006), after which he founded his own independent production company, Savage Film, today operating in an association with Flanders' largest feature film and tv production company Eyeworks (Warner group).As a producer he is known for Michaël R. Roskam’s first feature film ‘Bullhead’ (Oscar nominated as best foreign language film in 2012), which launched both Roskam’s and actor Matthias Schoenaerts’ carreers, for the offical Belgian Oscar entry ‘The Ardennes’ (2017 Academy Awards), and for the Sundance-winning hybrid documentary/fiction ‘The Land of the Enlightened’ (2016). All three films have been shortlisted or nominated for the EFA’s. In Summer 2017 Michaël R. Roskam’s second European feature, Le Fidèle, was succesfully launched during the 2017 Venice and Toronto film festivals. Director Tim Mielants' film 'Patrick' (De Patrick) was launched in the Summer of 2019.Bart Van Langendonck is board member of Ultima Vez/Wim Vandekeybus dance company, as well as an active member of the Flemish Film & TV Producers Association (VOFTB), Flanders Doc and Palace, the Brussels cinema complex which opened early 2018. He has participated in many financing and co-production seminars such as Eurodoc, Media Business School, EDN, Documentary Campus, Eave, ACE and Inside Pictures, both as a pupil of as an expert.
