Physiotherapy Jongh & van Osta stands for quality care with an active participation of the patient. It is based on six main pillars ; orthopedics, geriatrics , pediatrics , neurology, pulmonology and cardiology. Therapists are expected to put the patient in centre, be strong in the width of the field of our proffession and develop a (sub)specialism. On corresponding areas, Jongh & van Osta sees it as its task to take a pioneering role in the region. For example, by means of participation in research, expert groups and networks .Since 2008 I have been co director with my collegae Robert Jongh. Within the musculoskeletal domain I mostly see people with complaints of the upper limb and spine. Although it is a very different area I also treat people with lung diseases. Treating patients from two different areas of physiotherapy requires a lot of additional education but both ar really interesting.Besides my work as a physical therapist, I am responsible for the quality management. In my free time I practice hockey , running, and I play saxophone. In the winter I like to go skiing and snowboarding.
