CurrentProviding Pro-Bono services to:California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC)-Actively involved in California's WHPA committees with a focus on HVAC education and certification, and Fault Detection and Diagnostics (FDD). Both committees are tasked with the creation of guidelines for the CPUC to utilize in future energy efficiency programs in California. California Energy Commission (CEC)-Stakeholder in multiple HVAC committees. The CEC is responsible for the creation of Title-24 building codes aimed at energy efficiency.Utilities- Support utilities with program design, technical writing, training, education, partner participation, market transformation, savings goals and increased realization rates. Utilize statistical information to identify target markets, and improve collateral design. Provide insight into contractor thinking, business practices and barriers.HVAC Contractors/Technicians-Provide personalized education and repair skills with a direct emphasis on increasing the efficiency during repair or installation of HVAC systems. Education ranges from basic principles of refrigeration and airflow to identifying efficiency faults with the use of current digital technology.HVAC Comfort advisors-Educate advisors on faults introduce with the installation of oversized HVAC equipment. Instruct advisor on methods used to detect envelope defects and provide insight into low cost methods of correction. Advanced HVAC contractors-Expose contractors to ACCA Standards 4, 5 & 180 and ACCA Manuals J, D & S, and the vital role they play in whole house and HVAC efficiency programs.
