As a result, we have grown from +300 Business units to +1400 business units and a much larger supplier base as well, spanning 110 countries. In 2014, we made the decision to source a new technology solution (SAAS) to be deployed on a global scale, hence replacing the internally built solution which was primarily suitable for the EMEA market. I have led this transformation project from the RFP stage to final implementation across the different markets.

Main responsibilities: Project Manager and Product Owner of a custom-built eProcurement platform for the hospitality vertical. An award winning B2B platform deployed on a group level within EMEA (+300 business units). I have set the strategy and led the full software development of this B2B platform with an external development team (Netherlands/Malta/India) in an agile context. This solution, based on Intershop Enfinity, facilitated and automated procurement transactions between thousands of operational buyers and suppliers in over 70 countries, managing a spend of +/- 500 MEUR. The main modules developed were Contract Mgt, Supplier Mgt, eProcurement, Content Mgt, Vendor Portal, Catalog Mgt, Capex Mgt, Master Data Mgt, Spend Reporting and Analysis and various integrations with 3rd party systems (Invoice mgt, ERP, LDAP, Supplier ERP’s, BI, …). With the help of my team I was responsible for the implementation covering all business units within EMEA as well as onboarding all Corporate, Regional and Locally contracted vendors.
