Key responsibilities as interim manager:▪ Managing a portfolio of large digital (transversal) projects within the Procurement department.▪ Developing a strategic vision regarding Procurement's digital roadmap, based / inspired on best-practice experiences currently prevalent in the procurement world. The Radisson Hotel Group portfolio includes Radisson Collection™, Radisson Blu®, Radisson®, Radisson RED®, Park Plaza®, Park Inn® by Radisson, Country Inn & Suites® by Radisson and Prizeotel.Main responsibilities: Besides managing the global Source2Pay technology landscape, services and support organization around it, I became global category leader for Digital Products & Services, prioritizing a spend volume of +/- 20 MEUR with targeted suppliers and delivering NET sourcing value contribution (savings/revenue/cost avoidance) of around 3.2 MEUR during the first 6 months in this role. Implemented a holistic procurement strategy for the digital category. Creating new partnerships and renegotiating different corporate agreements related to “guest facing technology” products and service providers (e.g WLAN, HSIA, IPTV, Videoconferencing, Meeting Room connectivity, Digital wayfinding and signage solutions, …)

Main responsibilities: Managing the whole technology landscape (Source2Pay) within EMEA and Americas markets, supporting the vision and targets of the Global Procurement department. Due to new company ownership the Procurement scope has grown from primarily EMEA to include the Americas market as well. As a result, we have grown from +300 Business units to +1400 business units and a much larger supplier base as well, spanning 110 countries. In 2014, we made the decision to source a new technology solution (SAAS) to be deployed on a global scale, hence replacing the internally built solution which was primarily suitable for the EMEA market. I have led this transformation project from the RFP stage to final implementation across the different markets.

Main responsibilities: Project Manager and Product Owner of a custom-built eProcurement platform for the hospitality vertical. An award winning B2B platform deployed on a group level within EMEA (+300 business units). I have set the strategy and led the full software development of this B2B platform with an external development team (Netherlands/Malta/India) in an agile context. This solution, based on Intershop Enfinity, facilitated and automated procurement transactions between thousands of operational buyers and suppliers in over 70 countries, managing a spend of +/- 500 MEUR. The main modules developed were Contract Mgt, Supplier Mgt, eProcurement, Content Mgt, Vendor Portal, Catalog Mgt, Capex Mgt, Master Data Mgt, Spend Reporting and Analysis and various integrations with 3rd party systems (Invoice mgt, ERP, LDAP, Supplier ERP’s, BI, …). With the help of my team I was responsible for the implementation covering all business units within EMEA as well as onboarding all Corporate, Regional and Locally contracted vendors.

Main responsibilities: Creating an IT support organization for HQ in Brussels and the different Area organizations in EMEA was the first objective. Later on I have led many IT transformation projects , from implementing the first document management system in the company, the first invoice management system, Email system migration (on-premise to cloud), office moves (complete IT infrastructure), virtual server implementations, PBX implementations, mobile solutions, Client & Server OS/Application migrations, managed hotel system implementations during pre-opening phase, etc… Managed various contracts and vendors in this context. Implemented VIP support function taking care of C-level needs. Done IT audits across business units in EMEA. Setup various training programs for internal colleagues. Elected as colleague of the year in 2006.

Norsk Hydro fully outsourced their IT department (+800 persons) in EMEA to IBM. As a result, I joined IBM Belgium for a short period before I joined the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group as Corporate IT Manager.During my time at IBM I was sub-contracted to Norsk Hydro.

Main responsibilities: Became the SPOC for the division called “Norks Hydro Energy” and supported the operations team with their dedicated IT solutions. Participated as project member in various IT projects e.g implementing the first online system for oil and gas trading. Implemented the first mobile communication tools for the division and took full ownership of the support organization, system/process documentation as well as end-user training.

Starting my career and grateful to learn from the best. In this role I learned so much about the ICT landscape in a very broad context. Learning while doing, building up my knowledge in LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, Backup solutions, PABX, Mobile, Client Operating systems, Server Operating Systems, System Administration, End User Support, Hardware assembly and repair (printers, PC’s, laptops, telecom devices,…), Network protocols, Security….and so much more. Obtained my certification as a Microsoft Certified Product Specialist.
