I’m a true musical omnivore who strongly believes in the power of collaboration and connection. From hip-hop to classical music, and from indie to techno, my taste in music is as diverse as the experiences it inspires. I draw inspiration from festivals like Draaimolen and Best Kept Secret, labels like Delsin Records and indie labels as p(doom) records, as well as artists like Mac Miller, Frank Ocean, Incubus, King Gizzard, and many others..Music has been a constant thread in my life since my childhood. From the first CD I borrowed from my dad (De Beste van Doe Maar) to the moment I saw Gorillaz on TV and bought my first album with my own pocket money – music has always sparked my curiosity and shaped who I am. In 2014, I won a contest through my studies, which awarded me a fully funded trip to the prestigious SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas. That was the turning point where I started my own management company and dove into all aspects of the music industry.Since then, I’ve gained broad experience across the industry, from artist management, bookings, and marketing strategies, to developing festivals, multi-disciplinary events, and writing policies. My work has been as diverse as Silent Disco Raves in museums to booking a Scandinavian blues-rock act in a local brewery’s basement. To me, anything is possible when it comes to creating unique musical experiences.What drives me is discovering new musical trends, working with innovative artists and creatives, and realizing lively concepts. I thrive on launching new festivals, curating unconventional programs, and mentoring young talent both musically and organizationally.
