About Bart Becx

I’m a true musical omnivore who strongly believes in the power of collaboration and connection. From hip-hop to classical music, and from indie to techno, my taste in music is as diverse as the experiences it inspires. I draw inspiration from festivals like Draaimolen and Best Kept Secret, labels like Delsin Records and indie labels as p(doom) records, as well as artists like Mac Miller, Frank Ocean, Incubus, King Gizzard, and many others..Music has been a constant thread in my life since my childhood. From the first CD I borrowed from my dad (De Beste van Doe Maar) to the moment I saw Gorillaz on TV and bought my first album with my own pocket money – music has always sparked my curiosity and shaped who I am. In 2014, I won a contest through my studies, which awarded me a fully funded trip to the prestigious SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas. That was the turning point where I started my own management company and dove into all aspects of the music industry.Since then, I’ve gained broad experience across the industry, from artist management, bookings, and marketing strategies, to developing festivals, multi-disciplinary events, and writing policies. My work has been as diverse as Silent Disco Raves in museums to booking a Scandinavian blues-rock act in a local brewery’s basement. To me, anything is possible when it comes to creating unique musical experiences.What drives me is discovering new musical trends, working with innovative artists and creatives, and realizing lively concepts. I thrive on launching new festivals, curating unconventional programs, and mentoring young talent both musically and organizationally.

Babe Management is a management agency which started out as an experiment in 2014. A few years later Babe Management is working hard on being "the next big thing" in music management and bookings. We wanna break the boundaries of genres and try to make the most refreshing combinations. We don't wanna limit our bands and ourselves to restrictions of diverse genres. As an artist manager I work with groups or artists to support their career and manage their business activities on international levels. We take this (valuable) time away from the artist so they can fully focus on the creative process. My job is to motivate the artists I work with and advise them on their future steps and decisions. I also take time and plan appointments with (possible) partners and make sure the best deal will be negotiated all on behalf of the artist. Also we are always searching for- and book events and locations that fit the career strategy of the artist and we interfere in publicity- and promotion plans and/or partners for promoting shows and releases of any kind. Currently only available for freelance opportunities.Used to work with; Grim Tim, The Ten Bells, Donnerwetter, The Cinema Escape, Baskar, No Man's Valley and many more.
