Started in 2005, they had grown to $160M when I started with them. I was the first controller hired by the company. Sales grew to $180M while I was there.• Immediately after joining Sinomax, I took on the challenge of our parent company applying for an IPO on the Hong Kong stock market. This required cleaning up the previous 8 years of accounting information while coordinating multiple audits conducted by Deloitte Touche HK. The company had never had a controller and had never participated in an audit prior to this, so there was a lot of clean-up to do with extreme deadlines due to the IPO process.• Implemented a new ERP system to handle the company’s growth and the new reporting requirements of a public company. This involved the redesign of the chart of accounts for better management reporting as well as redesigning the entire set of purchasing and distribution procedures that had previously been used. • Hired and trained additional accounting and operations (supply chain) personnel as needed, with a focus on inventory and accounts receivable control.• Managed accounting, IT and operations (purchasing, warehousing and customer service) groups.• Negotiated contracts with third-party logistics companies for warehousing and shipping services. Negotiated 3 new warehouse leases and multiple royalty, commission and supplier agreements.• Coordinated production of “Made in the USA” products for Walmart and Target, which began in January, 2014. Negotiated with the 3rd party manufacturers, found suitable locations, leased manufacturing facilities and equipment, and providing project management for integrating systems.• Managed insurance selection and renewals and CPA firm selection and coordination with the firm. -
