As Project Manager within TNO I am responsible for the successful planning and execution of a variety of research projects. I have lead several projects and programs (up to 2.5M€. from 3 months to 3 years) in different fields of expertise as well as different technological readiness levels (from innovative low TRL research to full scale product development/testing).The projects I managed for TNO encompassed, amongst others:o Optics manufacturing of high-end systems for Space and Semiconductor applicationso Photonic integrated circuits (PIC) for (automotive) LiDAR, Quantum and Laser Satellite Communication.o EU FP7 & H2020 ACTPHAST4.0 & Photonhub Europe; o Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) developmento Personnel, Vehicle and Infrastructure Protection projects, within a framework program for the Dutch MoD;

As a research scientist I worked on a variety of projects which focussed on:* Protection of military vehicles (ballistic & mine protection, innovative protection concepts)* Protection of infrastructure (blast and explosion protection, failure modelling)* Fire safety engineering (fire modelling and suppression techniques, regulations)The majority of these projects were performed for the Dutch MOD and SME's. During the projects I worked and collaborated with many international partners (USA, DEU, CAN, SWE, UK, NOR). As a research scientist I enjoyed working with different disciplines and connecting the theoretical hypotheses with experimentation.

Within Actiflow I performed my master thesis (3 days a week) on optimization and automation of aerodynamic analysis of the Actiflow suction system.Furthermore I worked as an Aerodynamic Engineer for 2 days a week. Within this function I performed (alone or with the team) complete aerodynamic simulations from start to end, including:- Building CAD models- Meshing- Performing aerodynamic simulations with OpenFOAM- Analysing the results- Reporting to the customer

At Interflow I worked in several functions, From working in the factory on products such as fume cabinets and cleanwalls/operating rooms. I also installed new cabinets and other interior systems at clients. As I progressed during my study I worked at the engineering department at which I made (sales) drawings, solved work-floor problems and developed an automated ordering system (AutoCAD to MS Access). I have also been working at the Sales department, making sales quotations and developing tools, such as an automated sales tool to generate quotations.
