From August 2019-December 2019, I managed a key project in Datacom's partner relationship with Microsoft. Datacom is the largest ICT company in New Zealand.From January 2020-December 2020, I managed the Australian and New Zealand operations of Renson. Renson is a Belgium based, global leader in outdoor aluminium pergolas, sun protection screens, as well as ventilation.

When I acquired Rapallo Ltd in November 2014, it was a small e-commerce store selling home cinema and hi-fi products. Four years later, it had become one of the largest brick-and-mortar as well as online AV retailers in New Zealand. Rapallo was also a reputable installer of hi-fi, audio-visual and home cinema equipment for both residential and commercial customers.In four years we doubled turnover whilst maintaining gross profit. Customer satisfaction and staff engagement grew. Rapallo had exclusivity in Auckland for a number of brands, we were the preferred supplier for some large building companies and projects, and we had built a partner channel for installation services.Whilst looking for investors to grow the business further, we ended up selling the business.

New Zealand

Microsoft approached me to lead a team of >50 specialists (8 direct reports as well as 51 partner resources). These specialists develop solutions and new business across large enterprise customers, government as well as large corporate customers (SME), across all industries. Focus on developing and executing on a local strategy for solutions that involve all of Microsoft’s major products and services. FY14 revenue attainment, staff engagement at >80%. Achieved EBITDA target, market share growth, customer satisfaction and strategic metrics. Successful start-up of Microsoft Surface device sales channel.

New Zealand

I developed and executed the commercial and operational strategy for the Incubaid group in the Asia Pacific region. The Incubaid group focused on green IT for datacenters through software development, hardware development and professional services for Cloud providers.

I led 130 people (of which 7 managers) to achieve profit (EBIT) target, customer satisfaction and staff engagement target. Lead the professional services practices in communications, storage, virtualisation design and architecture. Achievement of profit targets, successfully leading a company-wide strategic initiative around operational excellence (lead to contract process), in support of the CEO. Built a new management team and pulled the team through a downturn in the local Hamilton market. Overachieved staff engagement target: up to 61% from 29%. Turned around business unit from negative to positive EBITDA in 2 years.

As a new immigrant to NZ I started at Telecom NZ partners HTG and Ocom in a few roles as consultant and sales and marketing director, as well as Business Development manager at Telecom
