Member of the IT Leadership at the largest media company in the Netherlands & Belgium in the midst of its digital transformation. I am responsible for the Freemium Platform, which hosts flagships AD.nl, HLN.be & 8 other news brands. It is the biggest platform of DPG Media in terms of reach and ad revenue. I make sure that our DevOps teams can do their jobs and that they and our customers are happy. It involves people, budget & stakeholder management, coordinating with Heads of Product and between teams, roadmap planning, incident & security management. I am also involved in organising and facilitating companywide workshops and events. In 2021 I had the pleasure of forming and leading the team that built the comic reading app for Donald Duck.

Responsible for the overall quality, service delivery and contract renewals of over € 10M worth of Premier Support contracts for all customers in the Dutch financial services and manufacturing industry. I was a member of the local Premier leadership team and managed a group of 15 Service Delivery Managers, working closely with account teams and managers across the company.After 6 years at Microsoft I resigned to start my own business.

Managing, coaching and reviewing 20-35 professionals. Responsible for service delivery and profitability of client projects. Maintaining and expanding client relationships and negotiating on a tactical level.Next to my role as Competence Manager, I was contracted as a Project Manager at Nuon, from October 2000 until February 2002. The largest part of my time at Nuon I spent on projects for its Energy Trade & Wholesale (ET&W) division, improving the ICT infrastructure on business critical systems and implementing new applications for energy trade. Adding to that I acted as project co-ordinator and liaison for all projects carried out by Nuon’s ICT organisation for ET&W.

Razorfish was a rapidly growing, global company that provided strategic, creative, and technology solutions to digital businesses throughout the world, across all platforms, devices, and networks.In its Amsterdam office I was responsible for the internal IT infrastructure (Windows NT network, Exchange 5.0), telecom resources, purchasing and budget control, supervising and coaching staff and involved in office moves. Participating in global initiatives like standardisation and the roll out of a global mail platform. Dealing with demanding customers in a fast growing, thus always changing environment.

Expotech provides facilities, consultancy, and services in the areas of temporary electrical installations, lighting, audiovisual equipment, computers, and the energy distribution for exhibitions, congresses and events.As manager of its computer rental department I was responsible for sales and marketing, supervising and coaching staff, purchasing and budget control, improving business processes, and managing large events like conferences for the UN and exhibitions like IBC.

As a wholly owned strategic affiliate of Bentley Systems, WorkPlace was founded in January 1997 to develop and sell software for the engineering industry. Its main focus was on asset-, document- and facilities management software.I was hired as a support engineer to support the WorkPlace software products at customer sites and to take care of internal systems. I managed the implementation of Exchange 5.0, connecting the 4 European WorkPlace offices and its remote users to the US headquarters. In January 1998 I was given the responsibility to recruit and build up a team of support engineers, and to further develop and implement standards and procedures for a support organisation.

Monitor was a leading strategy consulting firm, with a global network of offices and activities. It was acquired by Deloitte in 2013.Responsible for desktop support, network support, managing telecom resources, purchasing and budget control, training end users and managing projects, like client off sites that needed a temporary IT infrastructure. Although based in Amsterdam, I was also responsible for IT in the Paris office and in other offices on an as needed basis.

Designing and producing materials for client presentations. Working extended and unusual hours in order to meet tight or short notice deadlines. Assisting the IT manager with tasks mentioned above. As he became too busy with his European IT Operations tasks, I was asked to become the IT Manager for the Amsterdam office.

Admedia was a subsidiary of VNU (United Dutch Publishing Companies) and handled total advertising acquisition for all magazines of the VNU Magazine Group, which are currently published by DPG Media.Responsible for supporting the sales force of Admedia by analysing markets, conducting research, media planning and making presentations. This position also involved giving client presentations on marketing issues.
