About Bart Cleveland

I spent years working at agencies growing brands like The Ritz-Carlton, James Hardie Siding, Coca-Cola, and CNN. Founding ACES Branding and Job Propulsion Lab in 2012, I now collaborate with both companies, agencies, and individuals to build their brands and nurture their customers into advocates. My ability to coach individuals and teams inspired me to found Job Propulsion Lab that same year. JPL helps creative professionals plan and execute successful advertising careers. JPL coached hundreds individually and in groups to identify goals, improve skills and execute successful careers in advertising.In 2005, Advertising Age asked me to start a small agency blog. Small Agency Diary soon became its most popular, leading to The Small Agency Creative Conference and Competition. I'm a contributing author of the book, The Get A Job Workshop, How To Find Your Way To A Creative Career In Advertising.My passion for advertising has resulted in numerous speaking engagements on topics ranging from the future of advertising to diversity initiatives to improve the industry. I've given workshops on those subjects at conferences including SXSW, Ad Age's Small Agency Conference, BOLO, Swivel Digital + Creative Conference, AAF Advention, The One Show Creative Week, and The One Club Boot Camps.

The agency grew from a staff of 14 to 35 within our first three years, landing a coast-to-coast client roster including International Paper, Bloomberg Tradebook, Applegate Organic Meats, Blinds.com, and Mr. Rooter Plumbers. The agency gained a national reputation for innovative creative work. It was named one of the top ten small agencies in the U.S. by Advertising Age in 2009. Other awards include national shows including Communication Arts and The One Show and Best of Show awards from 2006-2010 for the New Mexico Addys.

One of our proudest milestones was to be a featured agency in Communication Arts Magazine in 2002. In 2003, SRC was awarded the AAAA's O'Toole Award as the most creative small agency in the US.
