Research in Paleoclimatology; work centered on methane hydrate destabilization and associative climate change as well as active methane system mechanics and ecology, using oxygen and carbon stable isotope and radiocarbon analysis from marine microfossils (foraminifera) to reconstruct the timing of climate and methane events.Working with duel inlet mass spectrometers (Optima, Finnagin MAT 251, and GV Isoprime). Sample types include carbonates and water samples being analyzed for stable isotope ratios of hydrogen, carbon, and oxygen. Confident in troubleshooting and minor repairs. Responsible for training undergraduates and new junior technicians.

Taught various NAUI SCUBA courses for civilian and military classes. Led open water dives for small, medium and large groups. Advised on underwater skills and activities for recreational, academic and professional purposes.
