I love research and I am fascinated by people. That combination has led me to become a PhD in Social Psychology in 2015. I want to know why people behave the way they do and how we are influenced by others in our behavior and decision making. Throughout the last nine years I’ve been active in research as a scientist, supervisor and coordinator. This has made me realize two things: 1) I love doing research, and 2) transferring my knowledge and applying it to real world practice is even more wonderful! It has also taught me a lot about human behavior and has given me a motivation to further investigate how we can help people improve, realize their potential and meet their needs. That is exactly why I want to now step out of the academic world to try to tackle real world problems. For instance, what determines a person’s identity and how does it shape their behavior? How do conflicts arise and how can we de-escalate them? How can we influence people to want to make better decisions? These are some of the questions that fascinate me, and I heartily welcome any opportunity to apply my knowledge and expertise to the area of research, consultancy/advisory, or personal development (training/coaching). Moreover, I’m particularly interested in research knowledge transferral, with the aim of promoting positive change.So what defines me? I am at my best when I am challenged by an assgnment and have to balance several tasks at once. I have a strong critical and analytical mind and I like to dive in deep and get to the core of a problem. At the same time, I am committed and I always try to achieve my full potential and also try to inspire others to reach theirs. One way I try to do that is to look for unique angles to a problem, or to use humor as a creative outlet.Have I piqued your interest?
