As Technical Director / Switch Technician I was the proverbial "last man" in the control room. I "zapped”, edited and directed live television shows with sometimes more than a billion viewers. I collaborated with the Director and made sure everything was technically sound and functioning. If the situation called for it I immediately solved technical problems, often under great pressure. In addition, I helped manage the team: directing the cameramen, checking the correct intro (film), graphics and title.
