I have been a freelance Geophysicist with more than 10 years experience in geophysical survey for archaeology, utility mapping and civil engineering (NDT). Member of the Italian professional registry of Geologists since 2002. Supervisor for many geophysical surveys in Italy, UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa for public and private projects. Consultant for data analysis, training, research, sales of geophysical instrumentation and geophysical software developing projects. Studies background: MSc in Geology, thesis in Applied Seismology ("Shear waves velocity measurements in the Western part of Naples city"); Ph.D. in Geophysics and Volcanology, thesis in Applied Seismology ("Somma-Vesuvius structure analysis with 1D model of shear waves velocity"). Both the theses were based on the FTAN (Frequency-Time ANalysis) method for group velocity dispersion curve analysis of Rayleigh waves, inverted with Hedgehog algorithm and finally computing a 1D S-waves velocity profile. This technique was developed before the well known MASW method. Studies were followed by two research fellowships in geophysical techniques applied to archaeological investigations. I also spent 6 years in England, working for a Chichester- and then Woking-based utility mapping company.
