I am an experienced exhibition designer with a wicked broad skill set. I am experienced in concept development, design detailing, and CAD/visualization. Dynamic interpersonal skills have allowed me to collaborate and facilitate the creation of world-class visitor experiences. When not working on exhibitions, I enjoy landscape photography and a good barbecue. I bring a spirit of radical inclusion to design leadership and value visitor experience as the ultimate measure of success.

Sr. Exhibit DesignerMonterey Bay Aquarium Oct 2014 - Mar 2018Monterey, CaliforniaOne of the greatest challenges as a designer came in this role at the Aquarium. Among the familiar tasks of exhibit design I was assigned to a team to re-develop a live outdoor program, telling a history story at the Aquarium. Collaborating with a great team. We designed, developed and engineered a rolling theatrical performance. With outdoor monitors, live actors, 3 boats in the ocean and interactive set pieces, we launched an extraordinarily successful program. In addition to this task, I pioneered 3D design processes for the exhibits team. Established a new collaborative spirit and built lasting relationships around the organization to foster future successes. Further accomplishments include: • Led the design of visitor-facing projects from exhibitions to public programs and operational projects in support of the Aquarium’s Mission and Strategic Plan• Drove all aspects of the design process, from providing creative direction, concept drawings, and detail drawings to drafting floor plans, elevations, and full construction documentation• Applied knowledge of sustainable materials, electrical systems, lighting design, construction trades (AEC/HVAC), plumbing, and life support systems for aquatic animals• Worked in a managerial capacity to oversee budgets, create and maintain schedules, mentor junior staff, and ensure clear communication with stakeholders and outside vendors -
