Broad Daylight developed enterprise-class knowledge management software and marketed it to Fortune 1000 businesses. Originally hired to be the Technology Partner Marketing Manager, a reduction in staff in 2001 necessitated performing several different functions, including: Partner Marketing/Business Development, Lead Generation, Demand Generation Marketing, Sales Operations, and last but not least, WebMaster. The company was acquired by Primus Knowledge Systems Inc. in September 2003.

Unicast was a small startup company based in NYC which developed an award-winning rich-media advertising format / technology for the Internet. At the time, I was the sole Product Marketing Manager for Unicast’s only software product, called Superstitial.

AudioMachine, Inc had the business objective of making an early and aggressive entry into the market for digital musical recordings (MP3) and custom-made and pre-recorded music CDs, distributing the content via the Internet, using both the Web, and a proprietary software interface. In 1998, this was a fledgling technology and we aimed to have a strong foothold in the industry, but events favored rivals such as MP3.com and Liquid Audio at the time. This was even before Napster made MP3 a household word! Unfortunately, we could not secure the seed capital to take the company to the next level.

I was brought into Quantum to develop the channel marketing plan for a new Quantum product called LanDisk, which was a Network Attached Storage (NAS) server. After working on the product for several months, Quantum scrapped the project and purchased the technology from a company called Snap!.

I had full responsibility for marketing of the Jaz product line as well as the Buz Multimedia Producer in the catalog and retail channels. I was tasked with implementing strategic promotions, training the sales forces at the various accounts, as well as producing advertising, retail packaging, retail POP materials, and direct mail campaigns for Jaz and Buz products. I also coordinated product line representation at major industry tradeshows.

In 1997, I had $350 million P&L responsibility merchandising products from Apple Computer and Motorola. In 1996, I had $110 million P&L responsibility for major data storage and printer manufacturers. I created effective print, online and direct-mail advertising programs for the Iomega Zip and Jaz drive products, increasing total monthly product revenue to $5.7 million in December 1996 from $3.2 million, year on year
