Kemper Photography And Writing 1990 - Present
Freelance writer and photographer. Technical, Feature, Hard New, Editorial, Travel.Current member of the Science Fiction Writers of America (SFWA) and the Military Writers Society of America (MWSA). My current work focuses on fiction and technical non-fiction. I also do black & white photography (including my own darkroom work) for fine art.I am a former journalist and past member of the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ), the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA), and American Society of Magazine Photographers (ASMP.) I worked my way through engineering school at the Baton Rouge State Times and Morning Advocate as well as the wire services. I freelanced throughout the 1990's. I put my journalism work on hiatus after 9/11 due to my status as an Army Reserve officer. While the US military does not send their military, including Reservists, as intelligence gatherers under the guise of journalism, other nations do and my Reserve status could cause problems for employers or other journalists working with me. I had experienced questions of this prior to 9/11. I used my media skills working as a Public Affairs Officer as an additional duty when needed, but there was no question of my military affiliation regarding those activities.I have multiple awards, recognitions, and gallery shows.

WorldCon is the world's largest regularly held convention that is run exclusively by volunteers. It is held in a different city every year.
