I have 4 years of experience preparing various documents for clients on Workers Safety and Insurance Board benefits. I had multiple clients that I served and had won them their financial settlements. I have done multiple appeals with the Workers Safety Insurance Appeals tribunal, my experience in working with injured workers has given me patience, problem solving skills and empathy. I have 6 months working in Jennifer Klotz Law Firm as a co-op placement. Family , real estate and estates law were her main types of practice and what I was exposed to. I prepared various court documents through Ontario Court Forms and binded motion records for trial. I kept client information confidential and safe, I prepared a power of attorney for property and a will in a rush situation due to urgency. Being in a firm gave me great communication skills while talking to clients and other legal professionals. I have great computer skills and I am efficient in Microsoft Office suite 2016. I am educated in various legal software such as PC Law, Estate-A-Base, Divorcemate, Conveyancer, Teraview, ACL,Ipro and legal research using CanLii, West Law and Lexis Nexis.I am very organized and have great attention to detail. Working in both places gave me time management skills such as work under pressure and complete tasks under time restrictions. I was a member of Legal Studies Students Association at Seneca College, I participated in OJEN Mock Trail in March 2018 also Paralegal Prep day in 2017.
