I was the first point of contact for buyers and sellers; offering advice on all aspects of the buying/selling process as well as producing the required documentation and negotiating sale prices. To do this I worked closely with House Managers at just over 180 retirement developments.A retirement property sale requires a high level of customer service, patience, understanding and professionalism as many clients are making a life-changing move. Also there were many ‘add on’ services that are less common than in high street estate agency, such as property part-exchange, visits to communal facilities etc.

Starting as Negotiator I worked my way up to the position of Associate Partner, responsible for the flagship Verwood office. I was responsible for four other employees and weekend staff. Each day I would visit and value properties to bring to the market, arrange & accompany property viewings, organise newspaper/Internet advertising, liaise with solicitors and other agents to process sales and arrange services to properties (repairs, surveys, local council enquiries etc).

I started as a trainee Negotiator and built up an understanding of many aspects of property sales.
