Sales were driven through direct local channels focused on locally grown, sustainable, organic and chemical free fruit. Sales were increased from $15,000 in 2015 to $50,000 in 2018. Crop yields were increased by leveraging smart irrigation systems linked via WiFi to soil sensing solutions. Water use was reduced by 50%. Fertigation was utilized to lower labor costs and increase yields. New direct to consumer markets were opened via website as well as through amazon.com channels. Social media advertising enabled a significant increase in direct to consumer sales. Aquaponics as well as hydroponic are leveraged through the growing process.
