Day to day duties include performing technical analysis of manufacturing processes to support management decisions; design / direct the acquisition, design, fabrication and repair of all necessary tooling and machines. Directly support New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Source Introduction (NSI) projects from concept to production implementation. I serve as the facilities first line of defense on out of process and products that may have detrimental effect to the profitability to the facility. I am an expert in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly process when analyzing potential new business for the facility. I have become the subject matter expert (SME) for the facilities 3D printing (Additive Manufacturing) processes. My main responsibilities are for the machining aspects of hydraulic cylinders, including skive/hone, weld, lathe turn and milling. I implemented a process in which could eliminate operator welding (manual hand weld) on certain machines that have never been used for that process. I coordinated the programming with OEM supplier of FANUC robots to effectively automate the weld process. I have led and participated in several projects that provided level II and III six sigma cost reductions. My team was nominated for the 2015 Chairman's Award for our improvements in people, quality and velocity to the NPI process in Sumter, SC.

I executed global New Product Introduction (NPI) quality processes. This included coordinating and conducting internal quality audits, administering work area internal quality metrics and developing internal training documents. I effectively implemented RCCA’s for New Product Introduction (NPI) related defects to prevent these from being passed on to production team. I became the subject matter expert (SME) for Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for all NPI components prior to the formal handoff to production. I coordinated with external customers to ensure that their quality requirements were met. Other duties included:- Gage ordering and R&R- Ensure that all product was conforming to design record specifications- Aided in the implementation of ultra-sonic inspection - Implemented SPC data collection for all New Product Introduction (NPI) which proves to be troubling due to the low sample size of these types of runs

I worked with suppliers to assure proper process control standards were in place and continuously monitor key manufacturing processes for improvement opportunities. Monitored the defects per million (DPM) by supplier to ensure that rejects were below 500 DPM.
