I have more than 30 years of diverse and award-winning architectural experience, specializing in multifamily, mixed use, senior/memory care housing, office, and education projects. I developed a deep sense of the value of community from growing up on a small family farm in South Dakota. This influence drives my desire and ability to create a design that benefits the client while also earning a positive reception by the larger community—its neighbors. My work reflects my respect for community; I use a site’s context to inform my design decisions and am considerate of how a project fits into its surroundings.My greatest strength is my ability to understand and visually represent the client’s vision, program, multi-faceted needs, and concerns from the project’s outset – resulting in more successful processes and projects.
