I have been in the CATV industry since 1987I was first employeed by Contract Cable in 1987 to do burials within the Hamilton and Stoney Creek area.Over they years with the purchase of Contract Cable to Phasecom,then Mastec, I contiuned my advancement in the field into Installs, Service, Maintenance and Construction.During the 1998, the Ice Storm that hit Eastern Ontario and Quebec became a challenge that I was willing to help with. Helping rebuild the damage for the storm.Moving forward in years, I left the contracting world for 2 years to become the Head Maintenance Technician and Head End Technician for Southmount Cable, now know as Source Cable. I returned to the contracting end of the business with Mastec and quicky joined the rebuild team as a Truck and Node installation technician as we helped build many areas of the Rogers Cable systems. Pickering, Scarborough, Ottawa Area, Ajax and many other areas.Given the opportunity to move inside to become the Health and Saftey, Fleet and Purchasing Manager for Mastec. Under this I bacame trained in WSIB and many other management specialties.In 2007, I was asked to assume the position of Regional Manager of the London DHT Operations and currently maintain that postion.
