I worked on a project to develop a new Telematics Motor insurance product. This product provides discounted car insurance to young drivers, in return for sharing their driving data with us via a sensor and a linked smartphone App.I have become proficient in the Scrum Agile methodology, managed on Azure DevOps boards, which is being used on this project.

I worked closely with a variety of outsourced IT partners, including Ageas, Tesco Bank and CDL, to implement change across the Motor and Home insurance business. I worked regularly with claims, underwriting, pricing, risk, finance, actuarial and fraud. In addition, I provided guidance, mentoring and coaching, to a small team of Business Analysts.

I led a team of Business Analysts on the Solvency II project. This complex project was critical from a regulatory perspective. It remains the largest single project that the company has ever undertaken. - I produced detailed ‘as is’ business process models for the entire Actuarial Valuation process. - I worked closely with all major business areas to create detailed ‘to be’ Solvency II business process models for Valuation, Capital Model, Profit & Loss Attribution, Projections, Reporting, etc. - I produced detailed business requirements for a new data warehouse to hold all policy data required for Solvency II. This included extracting the data from legacy systems, transforming the data and loading it in a generic format to be used by various downstream Solvency II processes. - I created company-specific templates for the new Solvency II reporting regime, including the Quantative Reporting Templates and the Solvency & Financial Condition Reports. - I worked with Actuaries and the 3rd party supplier (OAC), to evaluate, implement and test, a new financial modeling system ‘Mo.net’. This system provides the capability to perform the Actuarial calculations required for Solvency II.

I was the Lead Business Analyst on a project to create a new bespoke pet insurance website for M&S: - I managed the expectations of a very demanding client, with careful relationship building. - I conducted 1-1 interviews, shadowing and workshops to help establish improved business processes. - I created test strategy and defect management processes which were later adopted across the whole Accenture IT department. I was the Lead Business Analyst on an ‘Agile’ development of a new car insurance website for Toyota: - I worked closely with Toyota staff to define the scope for a new motor insurance web site. - I hosted workshops with stakeholders and interviewed senior members of the business. - I worked with a team of expert Microsoft contract Developers in an ‘Agile’ project environment. - I created business requirements for all modules of the project.I performed the following Team Lead roles: - I led a team of four Business Analysts, based onshore and in India. - I led a ‘Solutioning’ team, to provide feasibility, prototyping and estimating services, to assist the business portfolio planning process. - I led a team of up to ten testers performing user acceptance testing across multiple business sites.I project managed several medium sized (200 –250 man days) projects, gaining experience of task/resource planning, reporting and managing change, risks and issues.

During this period I was Lead Analyst, responsible for the creation of the award winning More Th>n Website and its ongoing maintenance. I performed the Business and Systems Analysis work to replace legacy 3rd party package solutions with bespoke RSA web sites for Motor, Home and Pet Insurance.
