I have participated in several research projects at the University of Szeged involving various GIS technologies. These include terrain modelling, spatial analysis, hydrology, erosion and in almost all cases dynamic or static visualisation both online and on computer media. I used ESRI software extensively, as well as trained Geographer students to better use ArcView 3.2, ArcGIS and ArcINFO and various GPS hardware and software.I always try to keep up with the latest trends and technologies in GIS and visualisation in order to be able to develop maps, applications and interactive demonstrations that are easy to understand, visually appealing and easily updated.I also do some freelancing web development with some colleagues in Hungary, works include maps, interactivity and database in https://www.vadonleso.hu, https://herpterkep.mme.hu.My pet project is to create a high-resolution, bare-surface, pre-human interference terrain model of Lake Balaton, Hungary. The progress can be monitored here: https://www.bartongeo.com/balatonSpecialties: ESRI ArcView 3.2, ArcGIS Desktop / Server, Flex API, ArcINFO; Google Sketchup Pro, MS Office, Adobe CS3, Corel Graphics; HTML, Javascript, XML, CSS, KML, Sencha ExtJS
