I am a software engineer with a focus on long-term maintenance and security. I enjoy mentoring junior developers, particularly to try to teach them to think of all input as hostile and code defensively. I am a specialist in X.509 Public Key Certificates, ASN.1 BER/CER/DER encodings, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and practical applications of cryptography ("cryptocurrency" is not a practical application of cryptography, nor a thing the world needs).When not using a computer I'm probably taking pictures (currently with a Fujifilm X-T4), flying small planes (ASEL), or spending time at a theatre (either as audience or a producer).
