Full-time faculty member in the Behavioral Science Department. Since 2013, taught multiple online sections of statistics for the behavioral sciences. Previously taught face-to-face and hybrid sections of introductory psychology, lifespan development, research methods, and experimental psychology. Also taught special topics courses on SPSS, R, Python, data visualization, online surveys, aesthetics, and generative art. Served as the chair of the department committee for retention, tenure, and promotion (four times) and as the psychology program coordinator. Created and ran several iterations of the Data Charrette service event with university grants, and served as a social impact fellow with the UVU Center for Social Impact. Wrote a statistics textbook and created over 100 support videos.

Full-time faculty member in the Behavioral Science Department. Taught face-to-face sections of introductory psychology, statistics for the behavioral sciences, research methods, and experimental psychology, as well as special topics classes in evolutionary psychology and psychological approaches to aesthetics. Published papers on restorative justice and on evaluations of dance participation, presented on statistical topics, and supervised several undergraduate research projects that were presented at state and national conferences.

The Data Charrette is a data service event in which local students and professionals volunteer to work with nonprofit organizations over the course of one or two days to derive actionable insights from their operational data. After a hiatus from 2018 to 2022, the Data Charrette began again in 2023 as a ongoing, twice-per-year event. The events to this point have been conducted in-person, but opportunities for remote involvement from both volunteers and nonprofits will be available soon.

datalab.cc exists to help people learn to do good with data. We support the democratization of data analysis and data science by providing concise, applied training through free videos courses. Specialized training and consulting have also been provided for Visa, the US Department of State, and others.

Creates online video tutorials to introduce the foundational concepts and applications of data analysis and data science, as well as hands-on tutorials for Python, R, SPSS, and more.

Partnered in the creation of an eight-week, online skills course for working data professionals, then taught multiple editions for global audiences.

Taught research methodology and a wide range of psychology courses at the undergraduate level.
