Cyber Security Specialist
CurrentI work as a Cybersecurity Specialist in the internal Global Offensive Cybersecurity Team. The main focus of my work is execution of penetration testing engagements on a variety of internal and external assets. These include infrastructure components, web applications, cloud deployments, as well as source code and configuration review from a security perspective. My role involves assessing the security posture of systems and applications, detecting potential threats, and providing recommendations for remediation.Key Responsibilities• Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify security weaknesses in systems and applications• Perform source code reviews to detect security flaws and provide recommendations for remediation• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of threat landscapes, attack vectors, and emerging security trends• Collaborate with development teams to implement secure coding practices and ensure compliance with security standards• Analyze and report on security incidents, providing recommendations for incident response and remediation• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and emerging threats, applying this knowledge to improve our security postureSkills and Expertise:• Penetration testing and vulnerability assessment• Source code review and secure coding practices• Threat modeling and risk assessment• Security testing tools and technologies• Programming languages• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical issues effectively
