In his division, as a second degree black belt, Bart was ranked #1 in the world in sparring from June, 2000 to June, 2001. Bart finished the year by placing 2nd (Silver medalist) at the world championship competition held at the State House Convention Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. This competition placed the top 10 in the USA in a tournament ring to determine the ultimate winner. "Competing on that stage, in front of that many people, was one of the biggest challenges and the most rewarding goals I ever experienced. It forced me to dig deeper inside myself than I have ever been and it empowered me to redirect that drive and passion to the rest of my life.
