Learned the development process of a startup focused on creating a comprehensive web application that provides advanced access to private capital markets. Paired with the CTO to identify, reproduce, and eliminate bugs in the Ruby on Rails application. Observed the firm’s strategy for creating an efficient, scalable, and robust web application capable of managing the complex legal responsibilities and business requirements of a variety of clients.

Compiled and analyzed research on various financial products and the associated markets, including those for mutual funds and exchange-traded funds. Presented findings and recommendations for expansion to the firm's Product Management and Development team.

Taught health and mathematics courses for students in grades 6-8. Responsibilities included planning curriculum, composing daily lesson plans, and creating student projects and assessments. Designed and oversaw weeklong Integrated Project. This Project focused on the human body and incorporated lectures, discussions, independent student projects, field trips, and fundraising for Operation Smile.

Taught mathematics (algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, and statistics) and economics (introductory and intermediate macro- and microeconomics). Met with students weekly, both individually and in groups. Also held popular weekly walk-in hours available to all students. Tutored learning disabled students twice weekly, providing intensive explanations of the subject matter while coordinating progress with administrators of the learning-disabled program. Provided progress reports for each student to professors twice per term.

Conducted research and created briefing dossiers on NGOs, companies, and individuals. Co-developed a new investment strategy to better represent Oxfam's goals and ideals. Assisted in the coordination of multiple programmatic and region-specific teams and projects. Recommended and implemented innovative strategies for working with the private sector in general as well as specific actors.
