Prior to Points of Light, he was the Chief Administrative Officer and CFO for Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE), a nonprofit focused on the daily needs of over 33 million Americans with deadly food allergies. Bart also worked in the private sector, and he held Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer responsibilities in Public, Emerging-growth and International companies. Bart led organizations in the US and with international assignments. He has fond memories of living in Australia, and the many weeks he also spent in India. He is a noted fund-raiser and financial engineer with extensive and varied debt and equity financing, as well as all aspects of M&A, including post-transaction integration. Bart earned his undergraduate Commerce degree specializing in Accounting at the University of Virginia. He attended the University of Texas where he earned an MBA with a major in Finance and a minor in Banking. He served as the Co-chair of the Washington Chamber Symphony and was a member of the Northern Virginia Roundtable.
