Bart brings over two decades of successful financial and operational executive leadership experience to turn data into actionable intelligence as he partners with teams to improve business performance, gain strategic partner interest, secure project financing, and instill world-class financial controls.He joined Points of Light in September 2023, becoming the full-time CFAO in December. Bart works closely with the CEO, COO and the senior team to build consensus around a healthy strategic financial model and the supporting implementation plans. Prior to Points of Light, he was the Chief Administrative Officer and CFO for Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE), a nonprofit focused on the daily needs of over 33 million Americans with deadly food allergies. Bart also worked in the private sector, and he held Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer responsibilities in Public, Emerging-growth and International companies. Bart led organizations in the US and with international assignments. He has fond memories of living in Australia, and the many weeks he also spent in India. He is a noted fund-raiser and financial engineer with extensive and varied debt and equity financing, as well as all aspects of M&A, including post-transaction integration. Bart earned his undergraduate Commerce degree specializing in Accounting at the University of Virginia. He attended the University of Texas where he earned an MBA with a major in Finance and a minor in Banking. He served as the Co-chair of the Washington Chamber Symphony and was a member of the Northern Virginia Roundtable.
