As product consultant I support clients and partners in the use and implementation of products by CycloMedia in existing and new business processes, services and products. I have frequent contact with the senior and middle management. Parts of the product consultancy role involve normal product management tasks, resulting in everyday contact with the Sales and R&D departments at CycloMedia.Current cases include:Kadaster (Dutch Land Registry Office)CycloMedia was contracted by Kadaster to deliver aerial and ground-based photography of the entire Netherlands. Starting with the Topography department (production TOP10NL) the data products will be included in various processes, services and products of Kadaster.AGIV, Agentschap voor Geografisch Informatie VlaanderenCycloMedia was contracted by the Flemish government to deliver a traffic-sign inventory and ground-based photography of over 60.000 km of road. Additionally CycloMedia will help AGIV to distribute and put into use the data throughout several governmental levels in Flanders.

As product manager of the end user application portfolio I proposed and managed a new application platform based on industry standards and with innovative functionality. It has become the default and primary end user application, supporting the company’s ambition to be the leader in situation awareness based on imagery, entering new industries, and realizing international growth.GlobeSpotter provides access to 360° panoramic photos (Cycloramas) and aerial imagery. The software and data (over a petabyte of data volume) are available from CycloMedia’s hosting infrastructure (Software as a Service). Data and functionality are authorized to users based on provided credentials. Using an Application Programming Interface (API) GlobeSpotter functionality is integrated into various (webbased and desktop) software solutions (GIS/CAD/taxation/asset management). Advanced functionality enable users to search, navigate, accurately geocode any visible object, take measurements and compare recent and historical situations. Clients are also able to overlay existing (geo)data on top of the imagery, improving the data accessibility and effectiveness.CycloMedia specializes in the large-scale and systematic visualization of environments using 360° panoramic images (cycloramas). Due to, by CycloMedia developed recording- and process technology, large areas are photographed and entered in an online database. From each recording location, orientation and time are registered, which makes versatile applications possible, such as 3D measurements and modeling. CycloMedia is active in countries throughout Europe and Middle East and has clients in various industries such as central government, local government, real estate, insurance, financial institutions, utilities and construction.

Mobile Mapping Flanders:After completing a successful pilot, CycloMedia has been chosen to visualise and inventorize around 5 million traffic signs. At the end of August 2010 the Flemish government will have at its disposal a complete database of all Flanders traffic signs. This traffic sign database is part of a umbrella European project, Rosatte: public private cooperation for traffic safety in Europe. Besides the inventory, all recorded data is delivered for various governmental tasks.
