Tasks:=====• Manage the project and its deliverables.• Capture Elia’s business and technical requirements, as well as their future challenges in order to consolidate and build a set of customized cloud requirements to be used for a vendor compatibility assessment.• Perform the vendor compatibility assessment through documentation study, technical workshops with each vendor (Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Dimension Data, IBM, Belgacom) and hands-on experience with their platforms.• Implement and use a scoring matrix in order to objectively and transparently rate the compatibility of each vendor with Elia’s requirements for moving to the cloud.• Perform a score validation and remediation round with each vendor. The vendors were given the chance to provide feedback on their scores and on the motivation for these scores.• Produce raw business case data such as cost comparisons, effort estimations, ROI calculations, high level reference architectures etc, to be used in a later stage for building a solid business case.• Write detailed and motivated reports, encapsulating all the data, findings and conclusions drawn from the project.• Present the results of each phase of the project to the Elia board (Group CIO, Country CIO, Chief Security Officer, Infrastructure Managers, Architecture and Development Manager).Key Achievements:==============• Managed the project, ensuring that all artefacts were delivered on time, on budget and on scope.• Managed to assess the vendor compatibility very accurately at the first time, resulting in just 3 minor score updates for sub-criteria after the remediation rounds with each vendor.• Produced quality reports which will help Elia in choosing the right cloud vendor.• Provided regular feedback on the progress of the project, which created an atmosphere of quality and transparency.• Aligned the entire key stakeholder board on our conclusions and recommendations, as well as on future steps in the project.
