The main purpose of this position is to support the computing needs of researchers within the University of Auckland. The two specific skillsets required are: (i) expertise and experience supporting research conducted using high performance computing (HPC), including parallel algorithms and performance tuning; (ii) ability to assist researchers to access and operate in a Virtual Machine (VM) environment.

As a member of the Intel Exascience Lab Leuven, I developed algorithms and software for the future generation of high performance computers. My main focus was the development of particle methods and CFD in the Peano framework: http://www.peano-framework.org.http://www.exascience.com/

Development of SimLCM, software for the simulation of Resin Transfer Molding processes. I extended this Fortran package to support the simulation of different molding processes, such as vacuum assisted processes.

I was responsible for gathering the information that was needed by the reviewers of the curricula of the department of Computer Science of the KU Leuven.
