The Dutch Association of Corporate Treasurers is the professional association for treasury professionals in The Netherlands. It has almost 750 members, employed by multinationals, large and midsized companies, but also working in public sector and nonprofit organisations. As a professional association DACT stimulates the professional development of its members, offers a network that connects treasury professionals and facilitates a platform for the exchange of information and development of knowledge.

I started at Kroymans Corporation as an intern. In a six month period I conducted research on the preservation of the central payment centre. After this period I combined part-time work at Kroymans with my study. I got the change to participate in an internal Business Leadership Programme in the first part of 2007. Together with the COO of Lasaulec, CFO of Cadillac, Corvette and Hummer, the Manager Treasury of Kroymans Corporation and the Operational Director of Stertil I worked on a project about the optimalization of the parts supply chain for the automotive parts business. This project was the base for my HBO master thesis, graded with a 9.My last two years, from mid 2007 until June 2009, were quite turbulent but very instructive. During this period I worked as assistant to the Cash Manager and Treasury Manager. Main activities were related to cash management, cashflow forecasting, loans administration, bank reporting and hedging foreign exchange and interest rate risks.
