Bas is founder of Marxman Advocaten and a member of the board. Active within the law field since 1989, he is a valuable sparring partner for business owners in a variety of areas. He has years of experience in restructuring companies (after bankruptcy) in various insolvency processes. Bas is involved in (international) transactions and responsible for supervising and coordinating. He also gives legal second opinions and advice in the fields of Corporate Law, Company Law and contract formation in general and has implemented extensive restructuring and corporate recovery projects and provided many companies with an effective approach of (liquidity) problems in both the short and long term. His wide orientation makes Bas a great consultant and manager who knows how to combine an all round strategy and legal implications. Bas hold(s) various management positions in (international) organisations and developed legal and financial expertise for more than thirty years. Bas acted as trustee and administrator in medium and large bankruptcies and receiverships. Also, he is responsible for guiding and coordinating complex legal processes for various legal authorities, both Civil and Administrative Law, as arbitration boards such as NAI and ICC. Bas is a graduate of both the Grotius post-graduate specialisation in insolvency law (1997) and in corporate and business law (2010). In 2014 he completed the specialisation programme in Financial Economy for insolvency lawyers and in 2021 het completed a post academic programme and as a result he qualifies as restructuring specialist. Bas is a member of INSOLAD and speaks German and fluently English.
