Al vanaf mijn afstuderen als fysiotherapeut in 2001 ben ik geïnteresseerd in fysiotherapie in de (top)sport. Mijn eerste werkzaamheden in de sport deed ik vanuit de praktijk waar ik ben gestart als fysiotherapeut om 5 jaar later samen met een collega een eigen praktijk te starten. In 2011 heb ik mijn Master Sportfysiotherapie afgerond, o.a. met een onderzoek naar kniediagnostiek en sportspecifieke revalidatie.De afgelopen 12 jaar ben ik betrokken geweest bij verschillende sportverenigingen en meerdere topsport- en Olympische programma’s en heb ik “onze” topsporters mogen bijstaan bij grote wedstrijden en toernooien. Hierbij heb ik vele topsporters mogen begeleiden in hun herstel en revalidatie en mogen helpen bij hun terugkeer naar het sportveld.Naast mijn activiteiten in de sport ben ik ook werkzaam in de praktijk, waarbij ik mij grotendeels richt op orthopedische revalidatie met schouder- en knieklachten in het bijzonder.Als laatste ben ik als een van de praktijkhouders verantwoordelijk voor de organisatie en kwaliteit van Fysio Cura Plaza en de Meer Med Clinic en hierbij in het bijzonder de vele activiteiten bij sportverenigingen en sportbonden.
