I focus on the tooling to make analyses reproducible by integration of MLOps/DevOps techniques (e.g., Docker, Poetry, Kubernetes) and performing case analyses.

I am responsible for implementing high-throughput quantitation for all the measurements techniques that are used by Ludger Ltd, while at the same time expanding on their functionality. For example, including fragmentation information to the profiling software that I have previously developed will provide us with more information regarding peak identity of signals that we observe in a mass spectrum.Additionally, I have been involved in several projects regarding bio-marker discovery using various statistical and mathmetical techniques such as Survival Analysis, Regression (Cox, Logistic, etc), Clustering (PCA, PLSDA, FAMD) and this has lead to the discovery of a biomarker for IBD Escalation which has since been patented by Ludger Ltd.Lastly, I was responsible for the development of a proof-of-principle graph database based system that will be used to gather multiomics data, and perform big data based analyses on the data in an attempt to uncover previously unknown correlations.

I was hired by Genos to implement some of the methods that were developed during my PhD research at the LUMC, with the purpose of establishing an IgG mouse glycopeptide profiling method.

My PhD research has focussed on developing automated methods for the quantitation of glycans and glycopetides. This reseach has resulted into two open source software packages, namely MassyTools and LaCyTools. Furthermore, I have applied the developed methodology to a cohort of healthy pregnant women (study glycosylation changes during pregnancy) and a cohort containing maternal and umbilical cord blood (study differences between maternal and foetal glycosylation).

I finished my computer science studies as a 'duaal'-student, meaning that I worked for KPN for 3 days a week and studied at the 'The Hague University of Applied Sciences' for 2 days a week. The 'duaal'-student project was a high profile opportunity where KPN tried to recruit high potential employees at an early timepoint, with a strict selection process.I worked at two different departments during the two years, i.e. process development (department responsible for the design and implementation of new processes) and system management (department responsible for maintaining the systems used by KPN).
